X-Girl Brings Back the ’90s With DC Shoes Collab

Since X-Girl was created by Kim Gordon and stylist Daisy von Furth in the early 90’s, it has been a cult-favorite for skater girls. Although it’s since changed hands and is now based in Japan, X-Girl still has the cool kid look down to a tee. Following its late-summer collection featuring rapper Chynna Rogers, they have teamed up with DC Shoes for their first sneaker collaboration ever, and it’s targeted at 90’s babies.
The women’s E. Tribeka Platform takes inspiration from the skateboarding aesthetic from the 90’s and offers a chunky platform midsole silhouette in two colors: a holographic white of a reflective, glossy silver upper and white sole; and a black one with a suede upper and purple outsole. You can find the DC Shoe logo on shoe tongues and X-Girl logo on the lateral sides. Both brands were found around the same era, making this collaboration all the more iconic – an epitome of 90’s nostalgia.
The shoes have been released exclusively in Japan, available for purchase at retailers and DC Japan‘s online store. If you’re not based in Japan but still want to cop, you can sign up for notifications before they land them on DC Shoes‘ global site on August 31. There’s also a giveaway you can enter to win the sneakers for free! For more cool, new sneakers to spice up your fall outfit, take a look at Bombshell by Bleu‘s selection.
