In celebration for her daughter Kulture‘s first birthday, Cardi B unveiled an unreleased track on Instagram yesterday. The preview is less than a minute long and reflects the rapper’s experience with being forced to make her private life public as a celebrity. Her recent single Press and her 2018 album Invasion of Privacy highlight the same issue.
-“Hearing public opinions about my private decisions/And there right there, see, is enough to drive you crazy/Complete strangers talking about my baby/Coming from people that never used to check for me/They brought opinions but nothing off the registry”

The slideshow features a montage of Cardi B‘s baby Kulture and baby daddy Offset as she spits bar about how the press and the public try to interfere in her private affairs when they aren’t in her position and don’t know her life. The Instagram post’s caption indicates that the unreleased song was supposed to go on her last album but did not make it.
