At just 17 years old, the American pop singer/songwriter has had two songs on Billboard’s Dance Club Chart, and the release of her latest EP Reasons, has solidified her position in music. The young songstress is here to stay and hopes that her music will reach, inspire and uplift people all over the world.
Who is Jena Rose?
At five years old, Rose entered the world of music when she first learned how to play the piano. By age nine, she begun singing lessons and writing her own songs. Her first performance on stage was at her school’s music show at the House of Blues in Dallas.
“I was extremely shy as a kid and always felt like other people’s songs explained my life to me and gave me a voice that I didn’t usually have,” Rose stated. “There was a point when I wanted to try to get my own feelings out in music, and try to do what all those songwriters had done for me.”
Recognizing the importance of following your passions early on, Rose first gained recognizing with her song, “Take A Breath” at the age of 14. A year later, during August of 2016, she released her debut single, “Paper Walls” which premiered on PopMania. By November, Rose released “Turn the Page”, her second single, and a music video.
Consistency has been key in Jena’s career!
By June 2017, she released “Lost at Sea”, her third single, and by August, she released her fourth single, “Loved”.
Though her evolution in music is evident, she remains true to her sound and continues to put out music that -simply put-feels good.
