The Future of Kylie x Jordyn Collection

While we do our best to steer clear of gossip here at Bombshell (sorry Kylie {not you Jordyn}), some things just can’t be ignored (Like the entire Kardashian family, but that’s a whole college course level of work we’re not trynna cover right now). Twitter has been wondering what the future of the Kylie x Jordyn collection will be. Check out the tweets below:
Not gonna lie, this one had us rolling.
It was recently announced that Jordy Velvet Lip Kit‘s price was slashed from $27 to $13.50.
While it’s all fun, and games on our side, we really can’t help but analyze what the state of social media is regarding scandals like this one.
Celebrities offer us a way to air out our own baggage, and frustrations. In this case, Kylie is going through a situation that is heartbreakingly relatable.
The betrayal of a significant other is obviously painful, but betrayal from a best friend comes with a numbness that’s really difficult to bounce back from. In an environment like Hollywood, it’s already hard to trust people as it is, to be proven right in feelings of distrust is enough of a reason to have a mental breakdown.
A look back on an interview Kylie had with Interview Magazine, back in 2015, sets the tone to how she must be feeling now, and honestly, it’s a tearjerker. This was her response after she was asked about mean comments she dealt with since she was 9 years old:
-“[…] Just friends growing up. We were all young, and I always felt like people weren’t friends with me for the right reasons, and they would be like, “You know everyone is just friends with you because you’re famous,” or just weird stuff. I had a lot of friend issues throughout the years. That took a toll, and now I have two really great best friends that are the only people I hang out with. I keep a close circle. But it doesn’t affect me anymore; I’m totally fine with it. It’s just when you’re young, like 9, 10. It’s just confusing and you don’t know why people are saying mean things about you.”

For the current scandal to revolve around sex, and seduction can be especially emotionally traumatic for the people involved (in this case, Kylie). The obvious reasons for betrayal offer nothing in the sense of actual caring for anyone, and everything in the sense of a total act of selfish desires.
So we end this on the note that loyalty from ALL sides is incredibly important. Our relationships with our friends are some of the most important parts of our journey to self-discovery, and beyond. Gotta admit, I feel for Kylie. And to the Jordyns out there…man. Don’t do your fellow girls like that. It’s really not cool, and totally hurtful. Have each others backs.
