Saweetie Debuts PLT Collection at NYFW

During New York Fashion Week, rapper Saweetie previewed her entire new collection with the eCommerce brand, PrettyLittleThing. The collection, which became available September 9, offers a variety of evening wear, intimates, dresses, and more available in sizes 2 to 22.

The illustrious event featured a large mansion background behind the runway. Since the eCommerce brand makes clothing for all sizes, it was only fitting for PrettyLittleThing to have variety of body types celebrated on the runway. For each look, there were two models with different body shapes, which is something all brands should strive to do. 

Saweetie’s name has become known for her breakout hit, “My Type,” and this collaboration with PrettyLittleThing marks her first collection and this past NYFW event was her first time performing during the famed week. She gave two performances, one in a metallic mesh hooded mini dress and the other in a black short tracksuit with a glitter-clad bralette and thigh-high boots to match. Other performances at the show included Quavo, Lil Kim, and Ashanti. 

Additional celebrity cameos included Offset, Fat Joe, Remy Ma, Kehlani, Jasmine Sanders, Cassanova, Paris Hilton, and many more.

The rapper is enthused to finally being sharing her exclusive collaboration with this brand. The preview video for capsule collection sees Saweetie hopping out of a customized, light pink convertible while her hit track “My Type” plays in the background. She is shown modeling pieces from the PrettyLittleThing x Saweetie collection and ends with her fishing money out of a pool.
