“Riverdale”, and “90210” Actor Luke Perry Dies At 52

Minutes ago, we were hit with the hard news of Luke Perry‘s untimely passing. At only 52 years old, Luke Perry passed away after not being able to recover from a stroke suffered on the 27th of February.
Luke Perry was best known for playing 90’s heartthrob Dylan McKay on “90210.”
For younger generations, he played Archie Andrew‘s father , Fred Andrews, on “Riverdale,” the teen show loosely based on the popular Archie comics. He starred alongside Molly Ringwald who played his wife, Mary Andrews.
Molly Ringwald reacted to the news via twitter:
When paramedics first arrived to his home at Sherman Oaks on the 27th, Perry was responsive and talking but his condition quickly declined. He was kept in observation, and unfortunately didn’t make it.
His rep released a statement that read:
-“Actor Luke Perry, 52, passed away today after suffering a massive stroke. He was surrounded by his children Jack and Sophie, fiancé Wendy Madison Bauer, ex-wife Minnie Sharp, mother Ann Bennett, step-father Steve Bennett, brother Tom Perry, sister Amy Coder, and other close family and friends. The family appreciates the outpouring of support and prayers that have been extended to Luke from around the world, and respectfully request privacy in this time of great mourning. No further details will be released at this time.”
