Rising Songstress AdELA on Her Latest EP, Dreamers & Thinkers

With a name that means “noble”, AdELA is not a singer to miss. The South African beauty is flipping the female hip-hop narrative by bringing an original sound and promoting womanism and strength along with her soulful vocals.

For her latest project, Dreamers & Thinkers, AdELA was surrounded by hip-hop heavy hitters like Fat Joe, STREETRUNNER, Royce Da 5’9, Cormega, Torae, and Jon Connor. But even in a room of rap kings, AdELA still is the boss.

AdELA’s latest inspirational single, “Crown” follows in the footsteps of “Main Attraction”, featuring Kool G Rap. While the theme of each song is different, her message is always motivating others to dream big and access every ounce of their personal power.

“We all wear our own crown, and we should never let anyone take it or our shine.”

As if her lyrics were not gripping enough, the music video for “Crown” takes viewers on a trip… through comic strips. AdELA plays the heroine of her story – of course! In the age of Wonder Woman and female champions, the budding star is adding to the narrative with her music and her mission.

Even after a big EP like Dreamers & Thinkers, AdELA is still not finished. She’s planning to release another video within a few months, scheduling a homecoming tour in Africa and booking studio time for a potential third album.
