Rihanna‘s fashion brand FENTY is launching a sophomore collection with its New York City pop-up slated to open today on June 19. The fitting images of the limited-edition “Release 6-19” are photographed by none other than the artistic director Bad Gal Riri herself, and features a new summery aesthetic that conveys a completely different feel to FENTY‘s first drop.
While the first drop made use of denim silhouettes and sleek suiting, giving off a serious, strong, and independent woman vibe, this second collection employs a completely different range of materials, such as knit, satin, and jersey. The body-con, lightweight dresses have a more vibrant colour palette that is fit for some fun in the summer heat. The asymmetrical hemlines and cinched detailing are unruly yet feminine, inspiring the free spirit in every woman to come out and play. Not pictured in the imagery, the new drop will include oversized graphic tee shirts that are Barbados-themed.
The imagery also shows off some of the upcoming accessories, including sunglasses, shoes, and jewelry. Choose from the two new styles of shades: the Techno Mask that shields your face from the harmful UVs, or the Centerfold that is foldable and oh-so-convenient. With this update, FENTY is expanding its hyped footwear line as well, introducing the new T-heel that is described to be a “sexy, strappy sandal.” As for the jewelry, the cool AF statement pieces include pearl-embellished belly chains and twisted bangles that are sure to turn heads.
Shop the new collection on the FENTY website; or in-store at FENTY‘s NYC pop-up in The Webster (2508, 29 Greene St. New York, NY 10013), open today ’till June 30.
