Lynette graduated from college with a BA in public relations and advertising, having known since she was a teenager that she wanted to run her own business. She worked her way up from junior account executive to senior account executive over the course of just over five years in several internships before she was given the chance to go out on her own. She had called her company "Lynette Nicole PR" at the time, straightfoward and direct. After five years, she began providing more than just PR and media relations; her skills and experience grew. She created a list of every adjective she wanted included in the name, with it officially becoming "Mint & Honey, Co." by Lynette Nicole PR in January 2021.
