The Breakdown: Young M.A.'s dating history includes a mix of confirmed relationships, rumored romances, and public breakups. From flings with celebrities like Mya Yafai and Tori Brixx to drama-filled moments with exes, her love life has often made headlines. Despite the ups and downs, Young M.A. continues to stay true to herself and focus on her growth.
Young M.A. rose to fame with her hit single “Ooouuu” in 2016, which went quadruple platinum and reached No. 16 on the Billboard Charts. Let’s not forget to add, she was also the first solo female artist to be mentioned on the hip-hop charts that year.
Originally from Brooklyn, New York, Young M.A. brings her authentic New York swag into both her music and her identity. In March 2025, her dating history became a topic of conversation after one of her exes exposed her personal details. Let’s dive into her dating history.
Tori Brixx (2016-2018)

It’s unclear when Tori Brixx and Young M.A. started dating. In her interview with Power 106, M.A. shared that it was around the time “Ooouuu” was released. She noticed Tori on social media singing her song, thought she was attractive, reposted it — and the rest was history.
They officially met through a mutual friend when M.A. was filming the Apple Beats commercial. They chose to keep their relationship private because that’s what they both wanted. The two publicly acknowledged their relationship on VH1’s Hip-Hop Squares.
There was never much explanation about why the relationship ended. When asked on Hollywood Unlocked, Young M.A. simply said, “Relationships don’t always work out.”
Bernice Burgos (2019)
Young M.A. and Bernice Burgos initially met on the set of the “Stubborn A**” music video, where Bernice played the leading lady, portraying Young M.A.’s girlfriend.
On Valentine’s Day 2019, M.A. shared a photo with her arms around Bernice, captioned: “I got my chocolate 🍫 for [Valentine’s Day] 🤤❤️.” It’s unclear whether the photo was simply for publicity, as the single, music video, and photo were all released on the same day.
Mya Yafai (2019-2020)
Young M.A. and Mya Yafai were together for about a year. In an interview with Hollywood Unlocked, Young M.A. confirmed that she was in a relationship with Mya. At the time of the interview, she mentioned they had been together for six months. The two met through social media. They were seen out publicly together a few times. Allegedly, the relationship ended because Mya was pursuing Nigerian singer Davido.
Ayisha Diaz (2020)
Young M.A. and Ayisha Diaz were spotted leaving a club in Atlanta together back in October 2020. Despite the two appearing to be an item, both denied that anything romantic was going on. Aside from photos and videos from that initial encounter, there is no evidence confirming that they were ever together.
Jade Williams (2023)
There is no clear indication of when Jade and Young M.A. began dating, but it is known that the relationship ended in 2023. In March 2025, Jade—also known as @itsmselfmade on Instagram—posted a video of Young M.A. from two years prior, visibly showing that she was sick. Young M.A. appeared jaundiced and underweight, with the caption:
"I GOT YOU TO WHERE YOU ARE NOW. I nursed you every day, all day, and didn’t even know you. Let’s be real—I left you. I had to leave you because you weren’t doing anything but holding me back. You didn’t like me having motion, didn’t like me making money. You hated on me."
Since the video was posted, Jade has made her account private. Room4Tea shared what Jade posted to her story:
"I know where I was coming from when I posted it. I don’t know you, and y’all don’t know me. How are y’all mad at me for telling my part of the story?"
Jade went on to say that she doesn’t owe anyone an explanation and that she could’ve gone even further.
Young M.A. responded on her Instagram on March 18, 2025, with the caption:
“Ain’t really much to explain… Just gotta let God handle it… I can air a lot of things out about this person, but that ain’t my character… God bless. #YoungMA #OpenScars See you soon MAB!”

Also stitching her music video, Young M.A. expressed that she wasn’t expecting something like that from Jade. She explained that she had already addressed what she went through in her music video Open Scars. She also emphasized that the situation happened two years ago and that she’s much healthier now.
Young M.A.’s dating history has been full of ups and downs, but through it all, she continues to stay true to herself. From breakups and rumored romances to exes exposing personal information, she’s been through the wringer, and she’s still standing strong.
