Jackie Aina and Patrick Starrr Shine in UOMA Beauty's Carnival Campaign

UOMA Beauty was founded by Sharon Chuter, a beauty industry veteran. Unlike most of the newer brands in the industry associated with celebrities and other famous names, this unique brand was able to make a splash in the industry with its wide array of unique products which include, pigmented eye-shadows, lipsticks, and foundation shades for darker skin tones.

On top of developing the brand’s products with her Nigerian roots in mind, the brand’s founder is big on pushing for more inclusion and diversity in the industry. Her drive to achieve these goals has led the brand to collaborate with YouTube celebrities such as Patrick Starrr and Jackie Aina.

Black Magic Carnival Collection

UOMA Beauty chose to work with Jackie and Patrick in its limited-edition Black Magic Carnival Collection campaign.

As the name suggests, the collection draws inspiration from the bold makeup, wild embellishments, and vibrant colors associated with carnivals. Even the names, such as Trinidad, Lagos, Notting Hill, and Barbados, chosen for the shades included in the collection are carnival-inspired.

Contents of the Collection

To add an element of drama and vibrancy to your makeup look, the Black Magic Carnival Collection comes with eight different products. It features bronzing highlighters for the body and face, long and dramatic peacock-like lashes, voluminous purple falsies, and lashes decorated with rhinestones.

With this collection, UOMA gave their fans everything they needed to bring the excitement and drama of carnival right into their world.

Bubbly Influencers

Two big celebrities in the world of beauty, Starrr and Nigeria’s own Aina, were named as the faces of this exciting campaign. The two popular makeup artists would feature in the collection’s press images. And they did not disappoint, both influencers serve major looks in the available images.

They can be seen with eyelids coated with dramatic gold and red swatches courtesy of the collection’s eye-shadow palette and lips covered with sparkle from the two lipsticks featured in the line.

Campaign Description

In addition to enjoying the exciting new products, fans of the brand got the opportunity to show off their makeup skills in the campaign’s challenge. Patrick Starrr and Jackie Aina were chosen as creative collaborators for the challenge. The pair of widely known MUAs was tasked with the role of picking customers to be UOMA Beauty’s Next Beauty Creators.

Fans looking to participate in the challenge would need to use pieces from the new collection to create an awesome look. They would then submit the look to the brand’s official website or post it on Instagram, using #UOMACARNIVAL to tag the brand. A total of four winners would be selected by Starrr and Aina – with one winner receiving $5,000 and the other three receiving $1,000 each.
