The unique-voiced rapper GloRilla has partnered with several big names in the music industry since coming onto the scene. Artists such as Cardi B, Lil Durk, Moneybag Yo, and Latto are just some of the artists the young rapper has had the pleasure to work with. Despite the hit songs, GloRilla also has a history of working with other local artists or individuals starting their careers.

Her desire and willingness to showcase other lesser-known performers is admirable. Her smooth-toned voice paired with others creates an unexplainable energy that resonates with thousands of people. Here are some of GloRilla’s best collaborations you need to add to your playlists.

“OUTSIDE” ft Nikipooh

This summer-themed anthem was dropped in April 2021 and was a collab between GloRilla and Nikipooh, another Memphis female rapper. Nikipooh’s rap flow is fast-paced and most of her songs are about women living life and making money moves. This song has garnered over 400,000 views and was recorded in Memphis.

The overall message is for women to stay to themselves, with their friends, and have fun together outside of the house. The song was a streaming hit for young adults and teens preparing their playlists for the impending summertime.

The sexually explicit and trendy song was posted in May 2021 and featured Gloss Up, a female Memphis rapper affiliate of GloRilla, and STGM, a local male rapper. The song became pretty popular during that summer and earned over 1 million views. The song glorifies transactional sex and objectification of men as sources of finance and satisfaction. The lyric, “If a ni*** ain't talkin' 'bout licks or gеttin' me rich, then I ain't heard s**t,” empowered women to use men solely for what they could provide, rather than wasting time with them.

Each rapper’s bar flowed harmoniously with each other and added to the overall balance of the lyrics. The visuals from the music video took inspiration from the movie Set It Off directed by F. Gary Gray. The rappers knew each other before the fame and it is inspiring to see GloRilla give them more of a spotlight for their platforms.
