As mentioned above, the “Mr. Right Now” star hinted at his romantic history with SZA in the 2020 release. The “Hit Different” singer responded by confirming the claims on her social media. The R&B singer posted on X, “So It was actually 2009 lol” as a correction to Drake’s claim in his verse that they were together in 2008. This was in an attempt to remove any doubts that she was underage at the time – she even continued by stating that the relationship didn’t involve “anything underage or creepy.”

Speaking to Rolling Stone, the “Kill Bill” hitmaker was adamant that the relationship was not serious, saying, “It wasn’t hot and heavy or anything. It was like youth vibes.” She finished by saying that what they had was so childish. The two have remained on good terms since their casual fling. In a caption on X, the singer replied, “To hell .. yall gotta go to hell,” in response to the rumors.
