RZA Athelston Mayers: The Mini Style Icon of Rihanna and A$AP Rocky

Rihanna and A$AP’s son, RZA Athelston Mayers, is about to turn 2 years old, he’s already a mini style icon just like his famous parents. Colorful and trendy sneakers, sapphire-plated belt buckles, and even his pictures in diapers looked like they belonged on the cover of baby magazines.

First, we caught Rihanna out with her baby late last year. She had an ankle-length navy blue coat and pulled over her face was a black zip-up hoodie. Then she matches these with shiny black leggings. On the same hand, the doting mother carried a pair of shoes for her one-and-a-half-year-old son, RZA. Guess what sneaker this pair is?

It’s a taxi-yellow Onitsuka Tiger Mexico 66 sneakers. According to InStyle, it was the season’s trendiest pair of sneakers! The sneakers trended in 2022 during the 20th anniversary of Kill Bill Vol. 1. We saw Uma Thurman wearing this pair of sneakers at the time. Although they are available in several colors, we are happy to see RZA sporting the classic Kill Bill yellows.

It’s not our first time seeing RZA adorned in trendy footwear. A few weeks after giving birth to her second child, Rihanna featured Riot in a photoshoot with A$AP Rocky and RZA. In the photos taken by photographer Miles Diggs, aka Diggzy, we can see the newborn in the arms of his parents, not far from his big brother RZA.

“Welcome to the world, Riot Rose,” the photographer wrote, adding a rose emoji to his text. The color is reminiscent of Riot’s clothing, adorable baby pink overalls, and little Timberland ankle boots. Little RZA, as photogenic as always, is not left out in style. He was in a trendy mini set of ASAP’s diamond-and-ruby-wrapped “GRIM” belt buckle and a pair of silver and black sneakers.

In May 2023, RZA turned 1 year old, which was a memorable moment for the family. But what caught the eye was Rihanna’s exclusive look, which, even on a family afternoon, had clothing from high-end brands. In one of the photographs, she can be seen wearing beige oval Balenciaga sunglasses as one of her luxury accessories.

In addition, she wore a strapless coated denim top from Rick Owens and Louis Vuitton jeans made of denim and with a monogram print. She wore a Rolex watch and some gold jewelry to complete the look. Meanwhile, little RZA wore with some Dior glasses, looking cheerful and very stylish. For his part, A$AP also took the opportunity to demonstrate his taste for fashion. He had a leather jacket, gold chain, and matching glasses on.

In an interview, A$AP Rocky’s stylist, Matthew Henson, revealed that A$AP is equally involved in RZA’s looks from head to toe. “All the baby’s outfits are [ASAP Rocky],” Henson shared. “He’s overseeing the creative direction of the baby and he’s incredible at it.”
