The actress/singer swears by her simple skincare routine when it comes to keeping her face looking fresh and vibrant. As an entertainer and model, the “Star” actress finds that she regularly has to put on makeup – as such, she uses her skin care regimen to make sure that the base (her skin) is always ready.

Destiny starts her day early – waking up by 6 or 7 am. She uses the gentle cleanser from Cetaphil to kick-start her morning skincare routine. The singer-actress loves how the product serves two purposes, cleansing and hydrating the skin. Speaking to The Cut, the singer said that her skin does best when she uses simple products, “with no extra fragrances or added alcohols.”

Afterward, she layers on a Derm King (a Beverly Hills dermatologist who she also sees for all her skin care needs) formulated Vitamin C serum. To give skin a healthy glow and keep it hydrated, the serum contains a blend of antioxidants and Vitamins. The actress completes her 3-step skincare routine by moisturizing with La Roche-Posay. The product repairs and hydrates skin thanks to its niacinamide blend.

When night comes, Destiny likes to crank things up by using more active products instead of the gentler daytime options. She starts by clearing pores and exfoliating her skin using an aesthetician-made medical-grade product. Its high glycolic acid content helps clear away impurities before she goes to bed.

She uses a prescribed retinol after applying the cleanser, about two to three nights a week. She also uses a moisturizer designed for sensitive skin to keep her skin hydrated and ensure that it is plump when she wakes up.
