Normani's Love Life: A Glimpse into Her Past Relationships and Current Romance

Like many celebrities, singer Normani tries to keep her personal life away from the public eye as much as possible. But as always, fans are super eager to learn more about their idol. That’s why Normani has given some glimpses into her world and relationships from time to time.

Ever since Normani rose to fame with Fifth Harmony, rumors have been going around about who she was dating. Normani has mostly stayed silent about these, but from time to time, she does confirm that the rumors were true.

When Normani first entered the spotlight on X-Factor 2012, fans were quick to speculate that something was going on between her and fellow contestant Arin Ray. The two Black contestants were friendly with one another, leading some people to believe they were more than just friends.

However, both Normani and Arin never confirmed the rumors, they never even bothered to address it at all.

From 2014 to 2015, there was another guy in the picture: Thomas Hansen, the cousin of Fifth Harmony’s Dinah Jane. Once again, neither Normani nor Hansen confirmed their relationship. However, they did both post a series of Instagram pictures where they cozied up to one another.

They have since taken down the photos, leading fans to believe that the relationship ended somewhere along the line.

Aside from the rumors, Normani did once confirm that she was dating someone. The guy was Rameer Colon, who posted a picture of her kissing him, calling her “wifey” in the description. Normani later went on an interview with Houston 97.9 where she confirmed she was in a relationship with the dancer.

Since then, it appears the relationships didn’t go as planned. They never announced any split, but in 2023, Normani was once again rumored to be dating someone else. This time it was DK Metcalf, a wide receiver for the Seattle Seahawks. The two were constantly spotted with one another. DK Metcalf also posted in his Instagram stories a birthday greeting to Normani which read, “Happy Birthday Beautiful.”

Finally, on July 2023, Normani went Instagram official by posting a picture of DK kissing her on the cheek on her Instagram stories.

It has since disappeared (stories only stay up for 24 hours), but fans believe the relationship is still going strong.

When Normani’s song “Love Lies” came out, she told Rolling Stone that the song had to do with her real dating life. “I know that there’s been plenty of times I’ll either be interested in someone, and it’s like, ‘OK, is this going to be reciprocated? Just dealing with that uncertainty … I think it’s important for women to protect their hearts, protect themselves because when we fall, we definitely fall. Which is a really beautiful thing — but it should only be received by someone very special,” she explained.

“One, it’s about time. ‘What time do I really have to fully commit to someone right now?'” “But also, it’s scary, because with the success that I have now, it’s like, ‘what are your intentions? What’s your motive?’ But they’ve got to go through my family first, so. That’s how I’ll know.”

Even though we know she’s seemingly dating DK, the details are still very much private. And with Normani potentially busy working on a new album, it could be a while before we get any updates on her personal dating life.
