Fans Eagerly Await Normani's Next Musical Masterpiece

Ever since Normani appeared on the X Factor stage way back in 2012, people were drawn to her voice. During that season’s boot camp, Normani wouldn’t progress as an individual, but she was given a second chance by Simon Cowell as part of a girl group. That group was Fifth Harmony, which became one of the most successful groups ever to come out of the show.

Normani played a vital role in the success of Fifth Harmony, quickly becoming a fan favorite of the group. Fifth Harmony eventually disbanded in 2018, which, while it was sad, also allowed the five stars to shine on their own. And in the case of Normani, shine she did!

Some people fade into the background once their group disbands. This was not the case at all with Normani, who was already working on her music before Fifth Harmony announced the split.

Her first single “Love Lies” with Khalid was a major success. The song peaked at No. 9 on the Billboard Charts and stayed on the list for a staggering 45 weeks. It also received a double platinum certification by the RIAA.

What’s more, the song had a unique sound that blended both pop and R&B. While traditionalists complained that it didn’t belong to either genre, a lot of people loved the modern approach of mixing two types of music.

But Normani’s success didn’t stop there. She continued to write and perform songs that received widespread critical acclaim. These included songs like “Dancing With a Stranger” with Sam Smith, “Wild Side” with Cardi B, and “Diamonds” with Megan Thee Stallion.

She also released her first-ever solo single “Motivation.” As you might guess, the song was an instant hit, reaching No. 20 on the Billboard Hot 100, and getting widespread praise from fellow singers.

The lyrics of the song were also deeply inspirational, encouraging listeners to keep fighting despite setbacks. The sound was also a unique blend of R&B with pop and dance, something that Normani is starting to be known for.

Despite her success, Normani has yet to release an album of her own, something that fans are all eagerly anticipating. There are no signs of her releasing one yet, but the hit singles that she keeps putting out are enough to keep fans happy and wanting more.

In 2023, Normani released another single “Fair,” which had a completely different style to her usual R&B - pop-dance fusion. Instead, this song was slower, simpler, and had very deep lyrics.

In it, Normani sings about heartbreak and vulnerability, and the simple music allows for her vocals and lyrics to shine.
