Fashion Meets Talent: Lyric Ross's Style Journey

Lyric Ross, who played Deja in This Is Us, has built a reputation for being stylish and classy. While she has amazed us by playing a troubled kid, she has no trouble wowing us even some more whenever she hits the red carpet. The young fashionista rocks classy outfits whenever she hits the red carpet.

And she has had plenty of opportunities to wow us.

Having debuted on NBC's drama series This Is Us in 2017 as Deja, a foster kid who has experienced a tough upbringing, Ross has walked down the red carpet while attending award shows and other events.

She was nominated for the 2018 Teen Choice Awards for the Choice TV Breakout Star award. In 2019, she was nominated for the BET Awards for the Young Stars Award and the Screen Actors Guild Awards for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Drama Series. She has also received several Image Awards (NAACP) nominations in 2020, 2021, and 2023 for performances in This Is Us and Wendell & Wild.

In 2018, she stepped onto the Teen Choice Awards red carpet, looking dashing in an embroidered mini-skater dress accentuated with beautiful ankle boots. The multi-colored embroidery is set on a black background, creating a psychedelic feel. It showed us her fun side as she put together the fall look to envy.

A year later, she took inspiration from everyone's favorite cartoon fashionista, Cinderella. She wore a white gown with sheer detailing at the 2019 Screen Actors Guild Awards. To make the dress her own, it had decorative brown prints that complemented her skin tone well while also breaking the monotony of white. The stand-out dress perfectly epitomized her sense of style. She accentuated her dress with a gold clutch to finish off the look.

Fast forward a year later, and she attended the NAACP Image Awards wearing a lovely lavender dress with an eye-catching oversized puffed sleeve and silver, high-heel platform sandals. She also attended the 2020 BAFTA Tea Party in Los Angeles in a work of art. The sheer skirt, sporting beautiful embroidery, stood out on the red carpet, even amid other celebrities and fashion icons.

She also modeled on the runway at the 2020 American Heart Association's Go Red for Women Red Dress Collection fashion show. Again, she rocked a stunning red dress with a thigh-high slit for that sexy touch.

There's no doubt that Ross loves to rock a dress whenever the occasion calls for one. Notably, she always looks good wearing one. Whether she's at the Emmy's or the premiere of one of her films, you can trust Ross to step on the red carpet in an awe-inspiring dress.
