Actress Logan Browning's Powerful Impact Through Guided Meditations

Mental health issues are on the rise globally. According to the CDC, more than 1 in every five adults suffers from a mental health issue. Some celebrities have been vocal about these issues; among them is the Dear White People star Logan Browning.

Logan Browning Reveals She Suffers From Depression

It always takes courage to admit depression, and Logan has been courageous enough to admit it. In a deleted tweet, Logan wrote, “It took me 24 hours to get out of bed and stay out. Depression is real, stay well.”

And while she didn’t keep the post for a long time, she posted a picture of herself basking in the sun, creating the impression that it is good to appreciate natural light when you feel the darkness inside.

Logan Browning’s Mental Wellness Practices

Despite working in a high-pressure industry, Logan is determined to enlighten and educate the world about mental health wellness and the importance of maintaining sound mental health.

In a recent interview with the Minority Reporter, Logan says that her platform allows her to talk to the world and reach out to mental health victims.

“I feel like I must teach the world that the people they see in the public are just like them and suffer similar issues,” she said. “I wouldn’t mind telling people that I sometimes get depressed and that I don’t live in a huge house.”

Besides sharing her story in interviews, Logan uses her social media platforms, particularly Instagram and TikTok, to offer guided meditations. Logan started the live meditations in March 2020, and she uses a wide range of practices like yoga to help relax the mind.

In one Instagram live session with the American Black Film Festival, Logan said there were no yoga and meditation studies where she came from. Therefore, she was doing the live meditations to help everyone have access to them — mainly those whose geographical locations don’t allow them to get the services conveniently.

Logan emphasizes that people should completely release stress during meditation and not let shame and other world injustices affect their souls.

Along with acting, Logan has also published several books.

Born in Atlanta in June 1989, Logan is an American actress, best known for her appearances in the drama series Dear White People, where she portrayed the role of Samantha.

Logan started acting at the young age of 14 after she completed her acting and modeling course. Her first movie appearance was in Summerland, and she has since worked on her way to the top by appearing in a wide array of movies and TV shows.

Logan has received NAACP Image Award nominations thanks to her outstanding acting performances. In addition, she has written and published multiple books online and is a passionate human rights advocate.

She is a professional meditation trainer who has touched the hearts of many people through her free meditation guides, which she offers online. Besides practicing mental wellness, Logan aims to empower women and people of color.
