Meagan’s Early Acting Career
Meagan Good started her acting career at a very young age – 4 years old to be exact. The actress first appeared on the small screen in commercials. However, this appears to have been a stepping stone to bigger roles on the big screen. In the early ‘90s, the actress-turned-producer ventured into film by appearing in the movie Friday.
While her first appearance on film was a huge achievement, this was nothing compared to the 1997 drama, Eve’s Bayou. In the film, Meagan was able to enthrall the audience with her masterful embodiment of her character – even at the young age of 16.
A Seasoned Actress
Having tapped into her potential through her early acting roles, Meagan Good was able to seize the moment and flex her acquired skills when bigger roles emerged. Meagan started riding the wave of her appeal when she gained roles in Deliver Us From Eva (2003), which was later followed by 2007’s Stomp the Yard. In the former, the actress showed that she was going places through her immense portrayal of one of the Dandridge sisters (Jacqui Dandridge).
Her role in Saw V demonstrated her capacity and courage in stepping into roles spanning different genres. Her foray into the horror genre showed her ability to connect with the audience on a visceral level.
Her perfectly honed acting skills and adaptability were again on full show when she starred in the 2012 romantic comedy Think Like a Man.
The actress was able to move back to the small screen, and still crush it, through her roles in a variety of shows, including Cousin Skeeter, Minority Report, and Deception.
Film Directing and Production
Meagan Good is also working to enhance Hollywood’s diversity by transitioning into a producer. She is actively developing content – adding her philosophies and sensibilities along the way. She started her journey as a producer with Tyler Perry’s Á La Carte. The 2021 movie, If Not Now, When? marked Meagan Good’s feature directorial debut.
“I really just had to figure it out the fly, make mistakes and ultimately I did and produced a few films," Meagan told CBS News of directing. "I've been watching people direct my whole life and realized I knew a lot more than I thought I did. I instantly fell in love with it and fell in love with it not being about me."
Having appeared in a variety of supporting and star roles in popular movies and TV shows, Meagan Good has had a successful acting career. The actress started her career as a child and later transitioned to directing. Meagan is also known for her awesome sense of style and is considered to be a fashion icon.
