The Breakdown: Supporters of Kenya Moore are curious about the Kenya Moore's hair spa opening. These are the details.
Kenya Moore is still gone with the wind fabulous … and paid. From breaking the internet through iconic scenes of The Real Housewives of Atlanta to blossoming into a full-blown boss, the trendsetter has kept herself booked and busy.
However, while she may be known for cashing out and catching flights, many have wondered… is Kenya Moore's Hair Spa open yet?
If you’ve had your eyes and ears to the streets of show business, then you know that our introduction to the Detroit native certainly didn’t come through a fancy shampoo station or at the forefront of Bravo’s “peach” franchise.
In fact, Kenya reportedly began modeling for a slew of magazine outlets as a teenager, such as Ebony, Seventeen, and Essence. From there, she went on to become a pageant queen, having been crowned Miss Michigan USA in 1993 before ultimately retrieving the historical title as the second Black woman to win Miss USA that same year.
Following her runway days, the multifaceted personality expanded her résumé and gave us “moore” of her doll-like beauty on the film/TV circuit.
With appearances in a variety of top-notch movie and sitcom productions like The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air (1994), Waiting to Exhale (1995), Martin (1996), and Trois (2000), among others, it wasn’t long before she became a notable face in Hollywood. It was upon her entrance into the reality world that she was able to morph into the mogul she is today, though.
Kenya contentiously twirled through season five of RHOA in 2012, which eventually spawned her participation in The Celebrity Apprentice (2015) and Dancing with the Stars (2021). Unfortunately, she parted ways with The Real Housewives of Atlanta in June 2024.
These days, the actress/producer is going strong with her entrepreneurial endeavors, Kenya Moore Hair Spa and its companion company, Kenya Moore Hair Care, a beauty line she created for natural hair.
The Kenya Moore Hair Spa open officially happened in 2024, but where is it located?
Kenya Moore Hair Spa’s grand opening took place on June 6, 2024. As of February 2025, it appeared that the doors have remained open … with seats filled! The brick and mortar is located in Chamblee, Ga., an area northeast of Atlanta, at 5211 Peachtree Blvd (Ste 1106).
Per the business’ Google profile, visitors are in for a grand encounter, as the spot is adorned with everything from pearly-white, high ceilings and marble floors to a combination of pink-and-purple flowers and modernized wall detailings.
According to Kenya Moore Hair Spa’s booking site, the establishment offers an “opulent” experience for customers in search of an exclusive, lavishly-equipped salon trip. Technicians provide a range of professional maintenance services, including: silk presses, head spas, blow outs, protein treatments, weave/wig installments, and extension take-downs.
“I’ve always wanted to make people feel good about their hair. Hair is my passion!” Kenya expressed in an Instagram post when speaking on the high-end shop’s launch during its construction stage. “I wanted this space years ago but the deal fell through and a year later it came back around! Now my dreams are coming to a reality.”
She concluded in the caption, “I truly want to make people feel good about the experience they had when visiting a hair salon, which is why I wanted it to be [a] luxurious, safe place for you to relax and feel good and of course, achieve your hair goals and look amazing.”
While Kenya Moore Hair Spa prides itself on supplying clients with an ultra-relaxing atmosphere, it was (actually) quite controversial amid its debut. If you didn’t know, per media outlet LoveBScott, Kenya was suspended from The Real Housewives of Atlanta after she was said to have aired out sexually explicit posters of her then-co-star and enemy, Brittany Eady, at the celebration for Kenya Moore Hair Spa’s public reveal in June 2024.
The incident led to Kenya’s departure from the series.
Kenya Moore Hair Spa reviews are rolling in.
Of course, with any new brand, the people are bound to talk! Per online recounts of fans’ Kenya Moore Hair Spa adventure, there have (seemingly) been mixed opinions. A guest didn’t have the nicest things to say about it on the salon’s Yelp page.
They bluntly wrote: “Don't waste your time. My face was burned, and I was scared of where I wore my part. The spa silk press is not worth it. And although the head spa bed is really cool, it's not better than a good old-fashioned shampoo with someone with really good hands,”
“I spent $400 and I looked like a Whoville Sesame Street puppet the next day for the event I flew in for. I had to got to Florida to get my hair did right," they added.
Within the 4.8 star ratings on Google, someone else claimed, “Rude staff! Didn’t even get to sit in a chair due to the way we were treated.”
Despite those bad recollections, it seemed that the majority was satisfying replenished during their pampering session and applauded Kenya Moore Hair Spa on its premium quality.

“I enjoyed my experience! I did the silk press and the scalp view. The stylist and Kenya were very knowledgeable and helpful in providing info on how to maintain healthy hair. I love it when the stylist gives education on your hair and doesn't just do your hair and send you on,” a happy client gloated.
A longtime supporter of Kenya’s hair products gushed: “The stylists were welcoming, professional and skilled. I’ve been a fan of KMHC products for a few years, but it was nice to have the luxurious spa experience! I highly recommended!”
It’s good to see that Kenya Moore Hair Spa is still kicking it, even in the face of adversity. We see you, sis!
