Much of Huger’s wealth comes from her appearances on reality TV. Though her salary for RHOP has never been shared publicly, it can be assumed she’s paid as well as one of the longest-running cast members. She also pulled in checks from her two-part special on Bravo, Karen’s Grande Dame Reunion. In addition to her RHOP income, Huger has also appeared on shows like Project Runway and The Wendy Williams Show.

What other streams of income does Karen Huger have beyond ‘RHOP’?

TV isn’t Huger’s only venture. She’s also an entrepreneur. Her first business, LaDame Fragrances, offers scented products like perfume, candles, and oils that are sold in Bloomingdales and on The Home Shopping Network (HSN). She also owns a wig line called ICON by Karen Huger, which she launched in collaboration with her hairstylist and RPGSHOW.

Though Huger has revenue of her own, we can’t ignore her husband. After all, his status was key to helping her earn a spot on RHOP. Karen is married to Ray Huger, known as the “Black Bill Gates.” He’s worth a whopping $40 million, which comes from his tech consulting firm. Together, the couple is comfortably wealthy.

Karen Huger’s net worth couldn’t save her from a DUI and time in a Montgomery County Corrections prison.

Despite the Hugers’ significant net worth, the couple has found themselves embroiled in legal battles. Lawyer fees may not have been a problem, but even millions couldn’t keep Karen Huger out of jail. In March 2024, Huger was arrested after crashing her Maserati into a street sign.

Though Karen claimed that the accident happened because she was trying avoid a collision with another vehicle, the jury found her guilty of driving under the influence of alcohol, driving while impaired by alcohol, and negligent driving. The courts also considered the three previous DUIs on her record.

Ultimately, Huger was sentenced to two years in prison on February 26, though one year was suspended, meaning she will only serve one year in a Montgomery County Corrections facility. After her release, Huger will not be allowed to drive for a year and faces five years probation.

DUIs were not the Hugers’ first brush with the law, but hopefully, it will be her last.

Though Karen Huger’s DUI is the first offense that has resulted in jail time, her family is no stranger to legal woes. Back in season 3 of RHOP, Karen’s storyline included her husband’s tax scandal. It was reported that Ray owed millions in back taxes both personally and for his business. Karen claimed to not have known about the unpaid taxes, and the issue was eventually resolved.

Things won’t be so easily smoothed over with the DUI case, but Huger is taking accountability for her actions. She skipped the RHOP Season 9 reunion to attend rehab and has accepted the legal consequences of her charges.

“This is frightening, but I accept full responsibility for everything that went on with my car accident,” Huger told Bravo, “I don’t care about me right now. I care about my children. I care about my family. They are so hurt …”

We join Andy and the other cast members of the RHOP in wishing Karen the best as she serves her sentence. Hopefully, she’ll be back in Potomac enjoying her millions, doing her charity work, and avoiding drinking and driving.
