Jordyn Woods’ Journey to Becoming a Designer

Jordyn Woods first catapulted to fame through her friendships with Kylie Jenner and other members of the Kardashian family.

After a falling out with Kylie, Jordyn decided to continue her modeling career and even enter the fashion industry as a designer.

Jordyn Woods was born in California in 1997. Her father was a sound engineer who worked on the set of The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. Through this connection, Jordyn considers Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith her aunt and uncle to this day.

Her mother also worked in the industry as a brand and talent manager. During her teen years, Jordyn intermittently worked as a model. A modeling agent discovered Jordyn on Instagram and asked if she would be interested in modeling.

She signed with the Wilhemina Agency and walked in fashion shows for designers as varied as Christian Siriano and Lane Bryant — and she was even featured in a 2019 issue of Cosmopolitan UK.

In 2018, Jordyn decided to start a fashion line. Her first line was SECNDNTRE (pronounced Second Nature). Jordyn started SECNDNTRE so that all women could feel beautiful and stylish as they go about their lives.

Jordyn went on to launch a collection with BooHoo, as well as another collaboration with PrettyLittleThing. This fashion line collaboration was called “Quarantine.”

While Jordyn Woods is a fashionista in her own right, she decided to branch out for a bit and do other things.

One of these projects turned into FRSTPLACE (pronounced First Place). FRSTPLACE is a fitness and wellness app that focuses on overall health. Jordyn created the app so that her fans could find peace of mind and focus on finding time for self-care.

Talking to The Cut, Jordyn said, “There were points growing up where I wanted to dress like all the other girls dressed, but I couldn’t find clothes that were as cute as them. Or I wanted to wear a bikini at the pool but I didn’t have the confidence to [sic].“

Luckily for all of us, Jordyn took her former insecurities and turned them into stylish clothing and accessories that all women can enjoy.

Jordyn Woods and Kylie Jenner reignited their friendship in the summer of 2023. That means that there are sure to be more collaborations between the dynamic duo in the future. There are also sure to be more projects from the busy fashionista.
