The Breakdown: Jasmine Crockett has gone viral several times thanks to her unapologetic clapbacks — from going toe-to-toe with DOGE to her feud with Marjorie Taylor Greene.
Congresswoman Jasmine Crockett has quickly made a name for herself as a fearless and unapologetic leader. She uses her platform to challenge misinformation, advocate for justice, and hold influential figures, namely the Republican Party and the Trump Administration, accountable.
Whether delivering sharp rebuttals in heated debates or championing policies that promote equity and inclusion, Jasmine’s commanding presence has captured the attention of supporters and critics alike.
Here’s a look at some of her most unforgettable moments of letting her haters know not to cross her.
5. Jasmine Crockett threw shade at Trump’s 34 felony convictions without mentioning his name.

Rep. Jasmine Crockett introduces the Connect the Grid Act.
Jasmine has proven that no one is too powerful to experience one of her sensational reads. In March 2025, President Donald Trump became her latest victim. A Republican-led House Oversight Committee dragged four Democratic mayors to Capitol Hill to essentially be bullied by Republicans into forcing local law enforcement to do the jobs of federal immigration officials to promote Trump’s deportation plan.
Jasmine, who was in attendance, defended the mayors by asking a question targeted at Trump. “Have any of you been made aware of any immigrant that has had 34 felony convictions … that has still been able to roam in your cities? Anyone?”
When the mayors answered “no” to Jasmine’s yes or no question, she further shaded Trump receiving 34 convictions.
“I was just curious,” she added. “Because we are so concerned about crime — and I know that my Republican colleagues would never want anybody with 34 felony convictions roaming around. Because that could be a danger to the community.”
4. Jasmine Crockett shared how she really feels about Elon Musk.
One thing for sure and another for certain: Jasmine’s enemies never have to wonder how she feels about them. Just ask Elon Musk.
Elon, appointed President Trump’s senior advisor during his second presidential term, is certainly on Jasmine’s bad side. The politician ensured he knew as much during an interview where she told him exactly what she liked him to do.
“If you could speak directly to Elon Musk, what would you say?” a reporter asked Jasmine outside the Capitol in a now-viral clip. “F--k off,” she quickly replied.
3. Jasmine Crockett going toe-to-toe with DOGE over their net worth claims
Jasmine’s harsh feelings about Elon soured even further when the SpaceX CEO’s initiative to reduce federal spending, also known as DOGE (Department of Government Efficiency), made defamatory claims regarding Jasmine’s alleged net worth. The initiative’s fan X (formerly Twitter) account claimed she has a net worth of $9 million and owns several homes, including one in Dallas worth $2 million.
DOGE’s fan account also claimed Jasmine is married and hired her husband to protect her against the Republicans, both of which she has denied.
“These people either have no relationship with the truth or really are dumber than bricks or both," Jasmine wrote on her X account (per Distractify.) "PLEASE POST the tax assessor links to my lavish cribs … I need to see the addresses and see if these people will give me keys since the properties are mine, lol. ”
“I know one thing is true. They are intimidated,” she added. “Otherwise, they wouldn’t waste their time trying to come up with outlandish stories."
2. Jasmine Crockett scolding Rep. Nancy Mace for her “take it outside” comment.
In someone like Jasmine’s position, someone is always trying her. However, one doesn’t expect things to get physical due to the rooms she's in. But that’s precisely what happened when Rep. Nancy Mace, who may or may not lack home training, challenged Jasmine to square up. The Congresswomen’s heated exchange came during a discussion of Civil Rights and Transgender rights, with Crockett calling for re-establishing a subcommittee on Civil Rights and criticizing Nancy’s rhetoric about transgender people.
“I am no child, do not call me a child, I am no child,” the South Carolina rep said in response to Jasmine saying “chile” while addressing her. “If you want to take it outside, we can do that.”
While Nancy later said via X that she wanted to have a “constructive conversation” with Jasmine outside, Rep. Maxwell Frost, D-Fla. called her out for provoking her with violence. Jasmine later addressed the situation on The View by suggesting Nancy has bigger fish to fry.
“Instead of Nancy Mace challenging me to go outside to fight, what she should be fighting for is a better economy, especially those in South Carolina, who are about to feel it,” Jasmine said.
1. Jasmine Crockett calling Marjorie Taylor Greene a “bleach-blonde, bad-built, butch body" will go down in meme history.
You didn’t think we’d forget the read to end all reads, did you? Jasmine’s arguably most career-shifting and meme-worthy moment came in May 2024. At the time, she and far-right Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene discussed her appearance at a House Oversight Committee meeting. During the meeting, Marjorie scolded Jasmine’s “fake eyelashes” for getting in the way of her reading and understanding the point of the previous week’s hearing.
The Texas representative responded by simply asking if she could use a few choice words on Marjorie’s looks, calling her a “bleach-blonde, bad-built, butch body.”
While Jasmine’s alliteration confused some of her fellow Congress officials, her sparring partner clocked her tea, making the situation even more hilarious. Bleach-blonde, bad-built, butch body quickly found a life of its own, causing Jasmine to make merch out of the phrase.
