Jackie Aina’s Early Life

Jacquelyn Lonje Olayiwola Oyeshola Bolayemi Aina was born in Los Angeles in 1987. After an unsuccessful stint at college, Jackie joined the U.S. military. Those stinging comments were all that Jackie would need to start her own YouTube channel. Millions of followers later, Jackie would collaborate with prominent makeup brands, start her own cosmetic lines, and fiercely advocate for cosmetic influencers and makeup brands for people of color.

Even after all of the success that came with being a successful beauty influencer, Jackie wanted to branch off into decor, specifically holiday decor. Jackie’s holiday decor proved to be just as popular as her regular videos.

1. Color Schemes

Christmas colors such as red, green, and cream will always work well on a Christmas tree at home or in the office. But don’t think that you are only stuck with those three colors. Shake things up by using color schemes that, while you don’t usually see them at Christmas, will make your space lively and sophisticated. Some examples of alternative Christmas colors include navy blue and cream, or purple and white, which can also work with a deft and knowledgeable decorating hand.

2. Christmas Decorations From Nature

Red, green, and white string lights, Christmas-colored garlands, and maybe even ornaments that your kids made in school are some of the items that you put on your Christmas tree every year. If you’re looking for ornamentation that’s out of the ordinary, try Christmas decorations inspired by nature. These can include berry branches and pine cones. Emily Lambe from Real Homes says that gold-brushed pine cones can make for an inexpensive but classy tree decoration.

While we all love the Christmas tree topper that has been passed down since Grandma’s days. it’s more than OK to do something that’s still traditional but elegant at the same time. You can try a tree that has slimline points. Done right, this tree topper will last generations in your family.
