After much deliberation, they settled on Ice Spice as their artist of choice when it came to collaboration. Speaking to Variety, Jesse Gassongo-Alexander (co-manager of PinkPantheress) stated, “Pink sent her a DM and suggested doing the song.” He said that this was made easier because the “Munch” singer had just followed Pantheress on Instagram. In an NME interview, Pink mentioned, “I saw that [Ice Spice] followed me because I was on Instagram.” Spice sent her verse in three days later – and a new song was born!

Before the new project dropped, a video announcing its imminent release went viral on TikTok after being posted by a fan – who spotted the recording of the music video in New York.
