Fenty Beauty’s Beach, Please Collection: A Makeup Must-Have

As part of its Beach, Please Collection for the summer, Fenty Beauty introduced Body Lava back in April 2018. With it, fans of the brand can enjoy their time out wearing fewer clothes and showing off more skin, thanks to its iconic golden bronze shade and rose gold shimmering body luminizers.
While the Body Lava came at a steep price, of around $60 each, you can also use it as a face highlighter to get more value for your money. Alternatively, customers could purchase the complete Beach Please Collection for $135. The entire collection included the Body Lava, Face and Body Kabuki Brush, and a Fairy Bomb. Initially, the collection was available on both fentybeauty.com and sephora.com.
The complete Beach, Please collection came in a plain box, with each component individually wrapped in a neat package. Continue reading for a detailed review of this exciting collection.
Body Lava Luminizer
Body Lava is Fenty Beauty’s first-ever body product. With it, fans of the brand can cover their bodies in a body shimmer approved by Rihanna herself. The product is designed to make it easier for users to glitz up their bodies. You can slather Body Lava all over your collarbones, arms, and legs as the temperatures start to rise in the summer.
The best thing about the luminizer is that all you need is a couple of pumps on the kabuki brush and you can get to glitzing up your body. In addition to adding a shimmer to your skin, this product also has a nice and light smell. It also leaves your skin feeling much softer.
While some people have complained about feeling a bit sticky after applying this product, it is worth noting that it is not supposed to be applied like a moisturizer/lotion – the less of it you use, the better.
The Fairy Bomb
For an added touch of class, the Fairy Bomb comes in a box instead of being wrapped in a plastic bag. This cute little ball of softness is designed to help you add some sparkle and fragrance to your look. Sold at about $42, it appears to be priced on the higher side.
Face and Body Kabuki Brush
To help you blend the luminizer with ease, the collection also comes with a kabuki brush – it does a better job of spreading out the Body Lava than using your hands and fingers. This brush comes with soft dense bristles that do not shed.
It is also easy to use and it blends well. However, it does stain easily after being used with the body lava – and is not easy to clean. Like the other components of this collection, the bush is rather costly at $34.
Winding Up
Of all the components of the initial Beach, Please collection, the Body Lava is by far the most impressive and satisfying of them all. Even with its relatively higher price tag, its benefits provide enough justification for splurging out. Fenty Beauty later added to the collection, growing the number of pieces to seven.
