Mikaila Ulmer's Lemonade Stand Starter Kit: Empowering the Next Generation of Entrepreneurs

Mikaila Ulmer is best known for her appearance on Shark Tank in 2015, where she introduced viewers to her lemonade company Me and Bees.

Today, she is in college and her company is worth $10 million, making her a successful Black businesswoman. To help inspire other young entrepreneurs, Mikaila is collaborating with Fashion Angels — a craft and fashion creativity brand — to create a Lemonade Stand Starter Kit.

The lemonade stand starter kit was launched to inspire upcoming entrepreneurs and kids to start a business promoting and earning side income by selling the five different Me & the Bees lemonade flavors.

It is available for less than $20 at Walmart and it includes all a kid needs to launch a lemonade stand. The instructions included are quite easy to follow, and with them, young entrepreneurs can learn valuable skills in time management, communication, and taking responsibility for their business actions.

“Within the kit, you’ll find the tools I used to launch my successful lemonade stand business with tips and tricks directly from me to help you succeed,” Mikaila wrote on Instagram of the kit.

She also includes her trips and tricks that she used to grow her business with the hope that they will help the next group of entrepreneurs fulfill their dreams like she did.

Known as “It’s My Biz Lemonade Stand Starter Kit”, this product is recommended for kids 8 years or older. It is one amazing gift older people may consider for kids’ birthdays, events, and regular holidays especially if the recipients are business-minded kids who have shown interest in entrepreneurship.

The starter kit itself was designed by Fashion Angels and includes the following;

• 20 sample cups (disposable)
• Stir sticks (10)
• Paper straws (12)
• 1 cup stand
• 1 decorative sticker sheet
• 1 logo sticker sheet
• 1 recipe book (35 sheets)
• 1 Lemonade garland
• 1 menu sign
• 1 logo sign.

Other items included in the stand starter kit are; receipts, business cards, a business bag, a feedback card, and a 60-sheet journal guide that includes order forms, a guidebook, an activity sheet, and a ledger sheet.

According to Daymond John, who invested in Mikaila’s company when she originally appeared on Shark Tank in 2015, she is the ultimate role model for young entrepreneurs.

“Mikaila has the DNA of an entrepreneur. She’s created such a brand, and I don’t see any end to her success,” Daymond told Black Dollar Magazine. “[This is] the most powerful generation we’ll ever have. All of you are passionate about something, and you can change the world by connecting with people who share your passion. I’m going to clean up the ocean, I’m going to stop human trafficking, and I’m going to save our bees. I’m so happy and proud of Mikaila.”
