Coco Gauff is an up-and-coming tennis star. In 2023, she won the US Open and achieved her highest ranking in September of that year. During her career, she has won seven WTA Tour singles titles, as well as eight doubles titles. A true lover of the sport and athletic icon, it’s clear to see she’s going amazing places in her career.

One of Coco’s most amazing feats was to beat tennis icon Venus Williams at the Wimbledon in 2019. She was only 15 years old. In the same year, she beat Williams again at the Australian Open and became the youngest U.S. player to make the Olympic team. Truly a staggering set of wins, one that’s exciting for someone so young.

However, Coco’s passions don’t center entirely around tennis. She also loves fashion and has gotten fashion collaborations with some big brands.

Coco Gauff’s Collaborations with Fashion Brands

As a tennis star, one of Coco’s biggest needs is a pair of great shoes. That’s why it isn’t surprising that she has collaborated with New Balance, an athletic apparel line. As a 15-year-old in the Australian Open, she sported a sleek pair of white sneakers with the words “Call Me Coco” scrawled on the sides. She also wore a tennis ball green cropped tank and short skirt, the whole outfit screaming out that it was her game.

The partnership with New Balance started early when the tennis star was only starting at 14. But since then, she has worn the brand’s apparel to her games, sporting unique and personalized clothing each time she steps onto the court. She’s also done numerous photoshoots with them, and it seems as though the collaboration has a long and promising future.

Coco Gauff: Ready to Build Her Own Brand?

Yes, Coco has had a long-standing partnership with New Balance. But that doesn’t mean sports apparel is the only type of thing she likes to wear. She also loves to look pretty, to make her face glow with makeup, and to shine.

"I really do love fashion. I love makeup. I love that type of thing,” she said. During the WTA Gala, she appeared as one of the speakers, donning a lovely dress of golden silk by Cult Gaia. She looked radiant, folded within the gold shimmer, her long curly dark hair fanning out behind her. According to her, her love for fashion and her appearances in such events, dressed up in something outside of tennis gear, is only just taking off.

The dream is to start her own fashion line. For now, at the tender age of 19, things still seem fuzzy. "I'm at the age right now where I'm really trying to find myself I guess outside of tennis because I do want to venture out into other things. I just haven't found what really speaks to me," she said. But that doesn’t mean she isn’t looking. She does want to start her own line, and is only waiting for something to come around and speak to her. And she need not rush. Barely 20, she has a lot of time to cement her own style, so that she comes out ready to take the world of fashion by storm.
