Thursday is the new Friday. Now that we’re over hump day, let’s have a look at what’s happening in New York this weekend! From coffee to cupcakes to beer, NYC is sure to keep you occupied and satisfied before the Sunday scaries hit.
New York Coffee Festival – October 12-13
The New York Coffee Festival celebrates the burgeoning specialty coffee scene in the Big Apple. The immersive two-day event offers hundreds of exceptional coffees to sample, alongside many different workshops, street food, coffee cocktails, live music, and coffee-inspired art. You can participate in Latte Art Live, The Sensory Experience, The Lab, The Village, the Brew Bar, the Cold Brew Coffee Bar, or The Kitchen. Or all of them.
For the first time this year, NYC’s own flagship coffee event also hosts global roaster tournament Roast Masters, as well as a new experimental area that is dedicated to chocolate making and tasting. Yummay. 100% of the profits will go to Project Waterfall – a charity working in partnership with NYC-based charity: water to bring clean water, sanitation, and education to coffee-growing communities around the world. Since 2011, they have helped more than 50,000 people in seven countries.
The festival will be held at Metropolitan Pavilion in the Chelsea district of Manhattan. Get your tickets here before they run out!
