According to a statement from Louis Vuitton, “Koons has brought imagery from his long-standing ‘Grazing Ball’ painting – a series of large-scale hand-painted reproductions of works by Old Masters – to a range of Louis Vuitton products.”
Vogue described details of the distinguished collaboration: “Fragonard’s circa-1770 Girl with Dog receives the Koons treatment for the occasion, making a cameo on this top-handle canvas satchel in a saccharine palette borrowed from a patisserie counter. Call Koons’s insouciant interventions—Fragonard emblazoned in a bold metallic typeface and a tag dangling with the silhouette of a pink inflatable rabbit—the latest mash-up in the ongoing art-meets-fashion frolics.”
-The collection will be available exclusively in select Louis Vuitton stores on April 28, and ranges in price from $585 (for keychains ring) to $4,000 (for a large carryall).
