After a seven-year hiatus from music, Grammy award-winning and multi-platinum R&B artist, LeToya Luckett is back with her third studio album, ‘Back 2 Life.’ The 13-track LP features hit artists such as Ludacris, and was produced by Grammy award-winning Andre Harris, Warren Campbell, newcomer Anthony Saunders, and many more.
Unveiling the album was preceded by the release of music videos for the title track and main single, ‘Back 2 Life,’ produced by Joseph ‘Jo Blaq’ Macklin and YBZ, and ‘Used To,’ which are the first two installments of a mini-movie series featuring actor, Thomas Q. Jones (“Being Mary Jane“). Both videos resulted in millions of views and rave reviews.
LeToya states, “‘Used To’ is one of my favorite records because of its confident ‘in your face’ lyrics. There’s nothing more attractive than a woman who’s humble, but knows what she can bring to the table.” The songstress added, “I wanted the video to possess that same quality. It shows the ‘bounce back’ from the disappointment of a relationship gone wrong, but it also showcases the vulnerability of a woman who allowed herself to Love.”
‘Back 2 Life‘ is now available on all digital platforms and retail stores.
When LeToya isn’t singing she is honing her craft as an actress with a recurring role in FOX’s “Rosewood,” alongside Morris Chestnut, and OWN’s “Greenleaf,” with Oprah Winfrey, Lynn Whitfield and Keith David. It has also been announced that LeToya will star as legendary singer, Dionne Warwick in the biopic titled, “Dionne.” She was also cast to star alongside Luke James and Aisha Hinds for the pilot of USA’s anthology series, “Unsolved: The Murders of Biggie and Tupac.”
