Leah Rachel, the creator and writer of Netflix series Chambers, which stars Uma Thurman, released a cheeky girly book, Love Street, on July 23. Also the creator of the popular IG page @TheYellowHairedGirl, Leah Rachel is no stranger to a vintage vibed aesthetic with sound advice, and overall realness.
Take for example:
TRUE.
How many of you spent high school starving yourself only to realize you looked perfectly fine, and you could have been happy instead. This is a cold cruel world.
Love Street is also titled “Pulp Romance For Modern Women.” and I couldn’t agree with it more. Its pages are just what Rachel’s IG looks like, with a feminist view on how to live your life.
An excerpt for advice on sex:
-“Fuck on the first date if you want to, wait until the tenth if you so prefer. Throw away the rules, make your own, and then break those, too.”
“Fuck on the first date if you want to, wait until the tenth if you so prefer. Throw away the rules, make your own, and then break those, too.”
The back pages of it include a paper doll that you can dress in modern day women’s wear such as Reggie Watts’ sweater, Uggs from 2002, and period stained Calvin Klein briefs because accidents f*cking happen.
If you’re the slightest bit bold and rebellious, I’d go pick up my copy at HarperCollins Publishers.
