Hourglass Cosmetics is known for being one of the very few luxury makeup brands that are cruelty free without compromising on quality. They have recently revealed their “Eye to Eye“ campaign featuring adorable pets. The brand explains the campaign’s name in an Instagram post: “Hourglass is a cruelty free brand and has pledged to become completely vegan in 2020. We’re dedicated to protecting animals because all living creatures are equal — because we all see eye to eye.”
The new Hourglass campaign sees internet-famous beauty influencers and their pets posing together – such as Iris Beilin and pomeranian Osito, Ryan B Potter and Tibetan Spaniel Dudley, Claire Marshall and black cat Bruce, and Teni Panosian and puppies Princess Zelda and Keiko. Along with the campaign, Hourglass also made an announcement that the cosmetics company aims to be 100% vegan by the year 2020. (This is the cutest and most heartwarming advert I’ve seen all year. I’m not crying, you’re crying.)
Hourglass has also announced a donation contest for fans and beauty lovers to participate in: You can post photos of you and your pet(s) posting eye-to-eye – don’t forget to hashtag #hg_eyetoeye in the caption and tag Hourglass‘s Instagram too – and for each photo posted, the brand will donate $1 to the Nonhuman Rights Project, an animal rights advocate organization. The contest is live now until August 31. And that’s not it! Another one percent of Hourglass Cosmetics‘ online makeup sales will also go towards the Nonhuman Rights Project. What are you waiting for? Go buy some makeup and find that perfect lighting to take a selfie with your pets!
