Here’s Why Cosmetics Are Starting To Use Cannabis

Now that marijuana is semi legal in the United States people are starting to become more accepting of buying products that have weed in it and cosmetics companies are finally catching on! But when we initially think of the word cannabis we think about Afroman’s song, Because I Got High or that one time you ate that “brownie” that had you trippy for days! Nonetheless cannabis has many health benefits and it’s recently been proven to be a healthy cosmetic ingredient!
Apparently cannabis is very benefial for dry sensitive skin and there are two forms which are hemp oil and CBD oil (cannabidio). CBD oil is a non psycoactive compound that eases pain and anxiety. It also smoothes the skin and does not get you high. According to the Los Angeles Times, “Hemp oil comes from a variety of the cannabis sativa plant that is grown for industrial use, not drug use. The hemp strains that are grown for oil production have a minuscule percentage of psychoactive compounds and, after the seeds are processed, that level is reduced to zero.” Both are contributed into cannabis cosmetics!
Familar companies like Lush are hoping on the green band wagon! Hopefully more cosmetic businesses will join the green team and go cannaibis!
