Her Agenda and Bank of America have teamed up to present “Property and Power: How Home Ownership Can be Achieved.” The January 28 panel conversation will feature several panelists with backgrounds in real estate and finance, and will focus on arming its attendees with all the information they would need to establish their “homebuying timeline.”
Her Agenda is a media platform with the goal of “bridging the gap between ambition and achievement for millennial women.” Through the stories and narratives of real women succeeding in their respective fields, Her Agenda seeks to provide their readers with the inspiration and resources they need to be successful.
“Property and Power” will feature a workshop, a panel discussion, and a chance for the audience to ask panelists specific questions about homeownership. The panelists include TV Host, Author, and Real Estate Broker Egypt Sherrod; Money Expert, Author, and Founder of My Fab Finance Tonya Rapley; Co-Founder and Chief Brand Officer of Brown Girl Jane Tai Beauchamp; and Bank of America’s Neighborhood Lending Executive AJ Barkley.
They will cover all things homeownership from preparing your finances to generating long-term personal wealth through homeownership. They will also cover Bank of America’s Community Homeownership Commitment and their First-Time Homebuyer Online Edu-Series, which is a direct roadmap for buying a home. Through their aforementioned Homeownership Commitment, homeowners may be eligible for up to $17,500 in down payment and closing cost help; no repayment necessary.
“At Her Agenda, we believe in and encourage a holistic approach to success, and achieving goals,” said Rhonesha Byng, the founder and CEO of Her Agenda. “This includes not only what happens at work, but creating a life that fuels you and inspires you all around from your health to your home. We’re excited to go on this journey with you.”
Kicking off with the Homebuying Workshop, the “Property and Power” virtual event begins at 5:00 p.m EST this Thursday. Following the workshop is the panel conversation at 5:30 p.m, and the audience Q&A at 6:15 p.m. To RSVP, head over to Her Agenda’s event webpage.
