It turns out that even HBO‘s Game of Thrones director and producers don’t know the wild investment of their fans.
When the “quest for the throne” challenge was announced, the first of six thrones was found within a day.
The final throne was the “Throne of the Crypt” which superfan Melanie Joaquin found IMMEDIATELY. I’m talking, the video had just went live. The producers and director didn’t even get a chance to unlock the gates leading to Fort Totten Torpedo Battery where the throne was hidden.
Director of the Iron Throne project, Aramique Krauthammer, said:
-“She got here so quickly. We were in shock. We didn’t even know where she came from. I’m still surprised, like—how is this possible?”

Somebody get this girl a job. She knows how to get shit done.
After finding the throne, she was given a very royal speech in true Game of Thrones nature before being crowned.
When they asked her when she found out about it, she said, “the video was posted like 10 minutes ago, so I like ran here, cause I like, know where it is”
Still in shock of the speedy find, she was asked, “how did you get here in 10 minutes?”
To which she gave the most true New Yorker response ever, “I live here.”
Duh! Never underestimate a New Yorker‘s speed, and knowledge paired with consistent public transportation.
She described her quest and said:
-“can I disclose this? I don’t think it’s okay, what I did. I snuck in here. […] so then I snuck in to here through a hole, and the other ladies were looking at me like ‘wtf’ but I don’t care, I wanted this throne so I did it.”

And she got it!
As of yesterday, she was officially bestowed by Game of Thrones itself as the Queen of Queens.
