Rising songstress, Fousheé recently dropped new music just in time for summer of 2018! Her new single, “By One” is a retro-soul song, with modern lyrics about love and the struggles that come with it. Fusing her melodic voice over a soulful beat, she sends us on a heartfelt journey of the highs and lows of being in love. With lyrics that resonate with us all, Fousheé unpacks the challenges that most of us have experienced in relationships.
-Where do we go
When we’ve come undone
Im too proud to stay
Care too much to run
I’m hurt and it shows
You think I’m high strung
I wake up & love you
Then hate you by 1
Where do we go
When we’ve come undone
Im too proud to stay
Care too much to run
I’m hurt and it shows
You think I’m high strung
I wake up & love you
Then hate you by 1
Born Britanny Fousheé, she has humble beginnings in Somerville, New Jersey. Fousheé’s mother was one of her biggest influences being a drummer for an all female Jamaican band called PEP (which disbanded before Fousheé was born). Fousheé’s musical influences range from Bob Marley to Celine Dion. Just like her influences, Fousheé’s music style is just as diverse. She describes her music as a mixture of soul, R&B, jazz, and rock. Speak Up is Fousheé’s First EP, which features her current single ‘By One’, which can be seen above, “On My Own”, which touches on the current issues of race in America and the feel-good dance anthem, ” Loved By You.” Fousheé’s EP, Speak Up is now available on SoundCloud, Spotify, Apple Music, and Tidal.
