Stuart Vevers became the creative lead at Coach in 2013 and introduced his signature prairie florals to the brand. This key aesthetic has made it’s way into all of the the collections showcased for Coach by Vevers but yet it never seems to go stale. The 2019 Fall collection saw a return of the prairie florals but a little more subtle according to Fashionista.

The collection was seen at the Coach Fashion show during New York Fashion Week. The show, which took place in the American Stock Exchange, also differed from their usual set up. The sparse wooden room was set up with a few metallic sculptures among the benches. The connection between the set and the outfits on show were the shapes that were focused on with oversize, fuzzy faux-fur vests emblazoned with the Coach logo, black leather bomber jackets with the fabric cut out to reveal the structure of the seams and the fringe, sharply-cut blazers over top-stitched jeans according to Fashionista. Even the accessories have become more with the bags being dominated with top handled styles.

The classic prairie style can still be seen throughout the collection mainly in the pointed-toe boots and bolero-tie details on button-up dresses, but also in the patchwork quilt prints inspired by artist Kaffe Fassett and deep-hued florals according to Fashionista. The darker romance that flows through the collection is seen in the dark navy plaids with black lace and burgundy long line cardigans. The luxury designer have also upped their game in their menswear collection with shearling lined buffalo plaids and quilted leathers along with coloured block sweaters. Many of the pieces are also unisex so it’s perfect for when you want to steal your significant others clothes. Vevers has yet again stuck to the same theme but he never disappoints.
