Cardi B Just Dropped Money MV

The Cardi B video we’ve all been waiting for, Money, is a power anthem. Cardi B came into 2018 charging, and looks like she’ll be going into 2019 charging too!
Charging that Money!
This video introduces us to Cardi‘s impressive skills on the pole.
And is that baby Kulture she’s breastfeeding? 😮
This video is truly iconic.
Cardi B gained popularity through her personality, attitude and basically for keeping it real. She was never ashamed to admit that she was a stripper. In fact, she has mentioned in the past that stripping saved her life.
In the past, news like this could kill a career but women are constantly defying societal norms and using the things that have worked against us to make them work for us.
Remember Paris Hilton‘s sex tape scandal? Probably not. (Do people even remember how big Paris Hilton used to be in America?) Now remember Kim Kardashian‘s sex tape scandal? Yes. Yes you do. Why? Because she built her empire around it.
That’s exactly how Cardi B acknowledges her past. She knew stripping would make her a lot of money, and she banked on the culture of sex appeal. Basically, you can’t shame her. She knew what she was doing. She knows what she is doing.
That’s what makes this song and video an iconic power anthem. She struts around in an extravagant palace-like place, she gets on the pole, she throws money on strippers, and she breastfeeds her baby.
We’re all familiar with the stigma of breastfeeding. She. does. not. care.
In one video she expresses her sexuality, the models in it expose their bare breasts, and then she shows the world what breasts were made for (hello! breastfeeding!).
She asserts her dominance in obtaining what she wants, who she is and what she came for:
-“I gotta fly, I need a jet, shit
I need room for my legs
I got a baby, I need some money, yeah
I need cheese for my egg
All y’all bitches in trouble
Bring brass knuckles to the scuffle”
“I gotta fly, I need a jet, shit
I need room for my legs
I got a baby, I need some money, yeah
I need cheese for my egg
All y’all bitches in trouble
Bring brass knuckles to the scuffle”
Ladies, we’ve come a long way.
