After beginning her profession as a nurse, Banayan moved on to become a family nurse practitioner in an emergency room a few years later. She dealt with a wide range of problems at the ER, and patients were seen according to urgency, with those who might be in an emergency being seen more quickly. As a result, someone with a migraine, food poisoning, or nausea during pregnancy may have to wait several hours to receive fluids, which take 45 minutes to treat the majority of symptoms. Banayan aimed to offer a solution that would allow patients to receive IV care on-demand in the convenience of their own homes. This marked the birth of her business, IVDRIPS. The IVDRIPS clientele is now a family. When things go tough, they support and rejoice alongside them. They are a community-based business dedicated to promoting healthy living for our clients and their families, not just an IV firm.
