Black Beauty YouTubers who are Killing It

Makeup YouTubers are a huge potion of of the popular video platform. Notably however, a search for “makeup tutorial” brings a lot of results of white women. But that is not to say there aren’t Black beauty YouTubers out there. It’s not even to say that there aren’t ones that are massively successful. So for those who haven’t visited beauty-tube for a while, here are some channels that are currently crushing it.
Jackie Aina
Jackie Aina is one of the big names in beauty-tube. Her self-named channel currently has 3.44 million subscribers and over 900 videos. Aina is of course known for her makeup skills and personality. But amongst drama channels, she is also known for avoiding scandals and cancellations.
Aina uses her platform to make the beauty industry better for Black women. She has previously called out brands that discriminate against Black women, for instance by not offering dark shades. Her advocacy got her noticed by the NAACP who gave her an Image award for YouTuber of the Year.

Nyma Tang
The Nyma Tang channel has 1.2million subscribers and 230 videos. Her videos feature makeup looks and reviews, the occasional hair video, and vlogs.
She is particularly known for putting the needs and experiences of dark-skinned Black women front and center. She offers dark skinned women makeup tips and also reviews and finds products made for dark skin tones.
One of the playlists on Tang’s channels is her “The Darkest Shade” series. In it, Tang reviews the darkest shades of foundation and concealer beauty brands have to offer.

Patricia Bright
Patricia Bright is a British YouTuber with 2.9 million subscribers and 766 videos. Her channel is a mix of beauty, hair and fashion. You can find clothing hauls and reviews, skincare advice, beauty reviews, get ready with me videos and more.
She also has an online course called The Break. It is a nine week program for creatives and businesses that want to build a lucrative social media platform.
