Becky G.’s ‘Salvage’ ColourPop Collab

This week, Mexican-American singer Becky G. launched her makeup collection collab with the inexpensive ColourPop cosmetics. The line’s name is ‘Salvage’ which translates to “Savage” and it marks ColourPop‘s first collaboration with a musician.
What makes this line so important is that most companies don’t exactly know how to represent people of color. While Latinas get a few shades here and there the problem is that there are different shades of “medium” skin tone (what tf is that anyway?). Moving on from concealers and foundation, you would think that they get the colors that look good on our faces right but WRONG. Every nude I’ve tried is either too pink or too zombie-like. I just want to look like #Iwokeuplikethis not I died like this, sorry for my face.
