Growing up in the digital age, we’re inundated with information that we constantly try to divide into apps. We use them for games, dating, work, fitness, our social lives, music, fashion, banking, shopping, movies UGH.

Just thinking about it is a little bit stressful. They start to become the reason why our productivity wavers. We find ourselves unable to focus, unable to get things done and before you know it, we’ve wasted time, not only on our phones but trying to get it together.

Don’t be mad at me but….. there’s an app for that.

Apps aren’t going away anytime soon so we’re gonna have to learn to live with them so might as well incorporate them into our daily lives. The following apps may help you get things done:

In the late 80’s, Francesco Cirillo created the Pomodoro Technique to get work done. This technique is “an approach designed to increase productivity by tackling tasks in short bursts, with breaks in between.” The Focus Booster app uses this technique by constantly tracking your work time and break times and then creating a time-sheet to help you keep track of where all your time went. The app offers a 30-Day free trial, and then a subscription fee of $2.99 per month.

Strides helps you keep track of your goals and habits by creating calendar charts of your progress. For instance, if your goal is to drink more water, say 8 cups a day, you would let the app know whether or not you met your goal for the day and it gives a projection of your progress to see if you are moving along properly with your end goal date in mind.

Pacifica is currently the #1 app for stress, anxiety, and depression. It creates guided self-help paths designed by psychologists using topics like cognitive behavioral therapy. It also has a peer support community so you can share your thoughts and advice. The relaxation aspect can make a huge difference in your life, especially if you are prone to feeling burnt out.

Cozi is marketed as a family organizer that helps you keep track of the tasks outside of work that need to get done. As The Muse perfectly anecdotes it:

“You can’t concentrate in the sales meeting because you can’t remember if you put out the recycling, or you can’t answer your boss confidently about tomorrow’s schedule because you don’t remember what time you have to take your partner to the airport.

Cozi cuts out these concerns by putting all your personal information in one place. It includes a calendar, to-do list, shopping list, journal, and even a recipe manager. And everyone in your family can have access to it so there’s no having to whisper through frantic phone calls at work to coordinate schedules or set up doctor appointments.”
