Open Up About Past Relationships, Or Keep Quiet?

In every new romantic relationship, there comes a point where you have to decide whether to open up about your past relationships, or keep quiet. Most people who are over the age of 21 years old have some experience in love and dating, and for many of us, it does not work out on the first time. This leads to everyone dating around in their area, and sometimes things may get messy. This is where the decision to be transparent or private is brought in.

In new relationships, I like to operate by the don’t ask don’t tell method! By this I mean, don’t ask me anything about my past that you are not prepared to know the truth about because once you know, you cannot delete the information out of your brain. A lot of people think that they can handle 100% honesty, but that is not the case.

Personally, I like to do a detailed google and social media search of a person before I get too involved with them. This will allow me to know what type of person I am dealing with, and often has helped me eliminate people out of my life that I knew would not be a good match right away.

Everyone has their own way to date, and one method is not better than the other, but like I said earlier, once you know information, it cannot be forgotten.

In a slightly less related clip, listen to the Braxton sisters discuss how they go about scandals in their relationships.
